  • JFK Dedicates Last Stretch of US 259: Following President JFK’s death, several historical markers were installed to mark places JFK visited. This tribute is a tall granite slab with a bronze face of JFK on top, marking his October 1961 visit to the Ouachita National Forest.
  • Feed Store Jailhouse: This is a farm supply store in Valliant, Oklahoma, named for the small, old jailhouse out front.
  • Old West Cowboy Muffler Man: This is a 23-foot-tall cowboy named Jeb. He stands over an 18-hole mini-golf course with a Wild West theme.
  • Showman’s Rest and Bull Rider’s Reprieve: Here is the final resting place for several circus performers. The town nearby was formerly known as Circus City, USA. This was the winter headquarters for the Kelly-Miller, Carson, and Barnes shows.

  • Old Boswell City Jail: An old town jail cell that was used from 1906 to 1965.
  • Christian Signs Made of Rusty Chains: In Arkansas, there are signs with words quoting Jesus and blessing truckers that have been made from rusty chains.
  • Desert Southwest Fantasy Home: Another Arkansas gem is this unique private home that resembles a cartoon Spanish ranch.
