We encourage our guests to bring along their own crafts; otherwise, there are nearly a dozen trusted local establishments with low prices on kayak and canoe rentals. If you’re bringing your own crafts, you can easily launch from Hochatown State Park. The Lower Mountain Fork River, meanwhile, is a favorite spot for thrill-seeking kayakers!
Horseback Riding
Beavers Bend getaways are incomplete without a horseback riding adventure in pristine Choctaw Country. A to Z Guest Ranch, Riverman Trail Rides, and Glover River Trail Rides all provide inexpensive, scenic, and absorbing horseback tours through the Kiamichi Mountains. Beavers Bend Marina is one of the only establishments in Choctaw Country that offers jet ski rentals. They have an entire fleet of up-to-date Yamaha WaveRunners that can be rented by the hour. Jet skis are one of the preferred ways to explore Broken Bow Lake’s 14,000 acres. Beavers Bend Marina also provides discounts for large groups, and they’re conveniently located within minutes of our Beavers Bend cabins!
Golfing
There aren’t many golf courses within driving distance of our contemporary Beavers Bend cabins, but most tourists who visit us in the springtime are itching for 18 holes after a long winter. Cedar Creek Golf Club continues to wow visiting golf enthusiasts with their lake vistas, lush forestry, friendly wildlife, and pristine fairways. This fun course is nestled in the beautiful Kiamichi Mountains inside Beavers Bend State Park. If you’re willing to embark on a short but scenic 11-mile drive from Broken Bow, we recommend Idabel Country Club.
