Beaver Creek Trail
You can start hiking this trail from the Nature Center, which is one thing you shouldn’t overlook. It is about one mile long and takes you along Beaver Creek. It also crosses paths with other trails in the park, like South Park Trail and Forest Heritage Tree Trail.
David Boren Trail
The David Boren Trail is longer, but throughout its 12 miles, you will see what makes Beaver Bend State Park so special. This trail is named after former Oklahoma governor David Boren. It’s also a great way to find other trails, as it meets up with seven other trails, including The Beaver Lodge Trail, Cedar Bluff Nature Trail, Beaver Creek Trail, Southpark Trail, Lookout Mountain Trail, Deer Crossing Trail, and The Skyline Trail. By the way, this trail does not loop.
Lookout Mountain Trail
This is one of the best trails in the park if you want an amazing view of the park during spring. The trail is about two miles long and has a rocky path to traverse. Once you reach the end, you will see the park’s best view. You can also access this trail from the Deer Crossing Trail and the Cedar Bluff Nature Trail.
Cedar Bluff Nature Trail
The Cedar Bluff Nature Trail is ideal for those looking for an easy and short trail to take. However, the lower portion of the trail might be closed due to flooding. If not, this trail is one of the best ways to get close to the creek without breaking a sweat.
